Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.We're seeking a dynamic people manager to look after a talented team of recruiters and sourcers supporting hiring for North America Front End Core Engineering teams.In this role, you will lead a team of distributed individual contributors responsible for hiring critical roles across Front End Engineering for multiple rapidly scaling business units. This team is newly formed. While we have existing relationships with our business partner, there is much to be built. You will be responsible for implementing scalable, innovative recruiting strategies aimed at attracting top engineering talent. You should have a knack for telling a story with data, consider yourself a default collaborator, and have experience encouraging the craft of engineering recruitment. You should also be excited about building something new and instilling a healthy and collaborative team culture.This role will report to the Senior Recruiting Manager.Your future teamOn the Atlassian Talent Acquisition team, we use a collaborative, data-driven approach to hiring, building strategic initiatives, and ultimately help leadership hire the right people, at the right time. Our mission is to establish Talent Acquisition as a strategic competitive advantage for the Atlassian brand overall. We leverage technology, data, and innovative branding techniques to help propel our global brand to that of a leading employer in the technology space. What you'll do

    • Lead a team of experienced recruiting and sourcing professionals building their careers in technical recruiting. As a strong coach, you use your experience and situational awareness to help your team continue their development path.
    • Bring a focus on data. You're excited by the role data can play in improving recruiting outcomes, individual performance, and processes. Your experience will help you and your team create the best approach to working with our partners and building our candidate pipelines.
    • Set clear goals. You're comfortable with being assessed on the efficiency of your team and guide collective accountability for the team's success as well as the way they achieve it
    • Partner closely with key engineering leaders. You'll seek to understand the what and the why and not afraid to ask if what we do today is the right way to approach tomorrow
    • Care. You'll share our values and exhibit them in your actions and communication with colleagues and candidates. You'll want everyone you work with to leave with an enhanced opinion of Atlassian and the recruiting function
    • Build long term team growth strategy. As this is a new team, you will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, retaining and growing top talent at various career levels.

Your background

    • Interest in leading successful teams who exceeded hiring goals while forming successful relationships with hiring partners in a constantly evolving environment
    • Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with a passion to advocate for more inclusive approaches to hiring
    • 1+ years of experience mentoring recruiters or sourcers, ideally in a technical recruiting team
    • Command of metrics including pipeline data, hiring forecasts, and recruiting capacity
    • Ability to coach, mentor and developing talent
    • Collaboration skills at all levels of the organization
    • A deep understanding of sourcing technology, market trends, and talent strategy
    • It's great if you have:
    • Familiarity with our relevant tools and programs (e.g Lever, SeekOut, etc.)
    • Experience leading cross-functional recruiting initiatives
