This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of technical excellence in sensor technologies, sensor integration, and design.**This is for our HQ office in Newark, California**

Role Responsibilities:

    • Work in a world-class Autonomous Driving and ADAS team
    • Evaluate capabilities of state-of-the-art radars
    • Work closely with design and body engineering teams to integrate and package sensor components
    • Ensure the conformity to the required operational conditions (temperature, EM, power, vibration)
    • Be responsible for vehicle level verification, validation, and tuning of sensor hardware
    • Support in the product development of Autonomous Driving and ADAS features such as Highway Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Detection
    • Assist in the development of sensor calibration and production manufacturing processes
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to define requirements and test cases
    • Be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems using diagnostic tools
    • Work in a dynamic environment which evolves at a high pace

Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Radar Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
    • 8+ years of related experience
    • Technical expertise in working with ADAS radars
    • Experience with automotive HW packaging and related analysis methods
    • Knowledge of sensor calibration and validation methods
    • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

    • 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 year’s experience
    • Knowledge of radar communication protocols
    • Experience defining ADAS system requirements and test cases
    • Knowledge of RF propagation
    • Knowledge of DSP algorithms implementation
    • Experiences in using C/C++/Python to program for performance evaluation
    • Familiar with CAN bus/Ethernet data protocol
    • Familiarity with automotive regulations and functional safety
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. ·       California (Bay Area) - $150,000 - $195,000 Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
