Rackspace is hiring a full-time Programme Manager for our team to lead and be accountable for the successful delivery of high-profile, high-complexity cloud programmes. You will ensure that the contracted customer’s strategy and business targets are met by the programme against time, budget and quality, and delivered against strategic goals. You will be working with diverse presales, sales, technical consultancy and service delivery and support teams ensuring Professional Services engagements are scoped, planned and delivered to maximise value for customers and Rackspace.  These engagements may include application migration, infrastructure consolidation, transformation, automation, optimization, and lifecycle services. 

Key Accountabilities

    • Define and communicate programme direction, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Develop project plans in collaboration with the customer and business unit.
    • Expertly manage requirements, risks, and stakeholder relationships.
    • Establish change control and configuration management processes.
    • Drive risk management, issue resolution, and corrective action plans.
    • Maintain effective communication channels and governance structure.
    • Monitor and control programme costs, revenue, and financial forecasting.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize resource allocation.
    • Ensure adherence to governance, quality, and documentation standards.
    • Identify additional project management opportunities and engage relevant teams.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
    • Facilitate benefits management and realization across projects.
    • Work effectively in a matrix management structure and follow defined processes.
    • Communicate effectively with customers, manage conflicts, and escalate issues when needed.
    • Make tactical decisions aligned with business strategy and project objectives.
    • Understand commercial and contractual obligations.
    • Solve project-related problems systematically and prioritize accordingly.

Key Requirements

    • Demonstrate leadership abilities and influence senior stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage sensitive matters.
    • Influence and motivate others without direct authority.
    • Exercise decision-making authority and adapt to changing circumstances.
    • Strong understanding of Rackspace products, services, and strategic roadmap.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Successful track record in project and programme management.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in high-pressure situations.
    • Independent and proactive approach, driving process improvements.
    • Mentoring and guiding team members, implementing best practices.
