We are looking for a highly-experienced product leader with a solid background in Product Management and hands-on experience leading successful FedRAMP implementations at comparable SaaS companies to Atlassian. The Principal Product Manager is an individual contributor position. In this role you will create company-scale impact, amplifying the speed and quality of our investments and shaping company strategy.FedRAMP is a company priority for Atlassian, with CTO sponsorship.
What you'll do
- You'll get started straight away, independently lapping up company strategy, technical and compliance architecture, organisational structure and constraints, customer and agency relationships and field insights to form a working picture of the context. You'll seek out and build necessary internal relationships.
- You'll join a small and effective program squad in monitoring the many delivery streams across the company, drawing on your experience, customer and product insight and action bias to drive quick and impactful course-corrections where needed to achieve Authority to Operate in line with our public roadmap commitments
- You'll be a key point of contact for our sponsor, 3PAO, field teams and key federal and commercial customers as well as an evangelist for the program and our approach to it
- You'll collaborate and align with dozens of teams - Risk and Compliance, our Field teams, Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, Commerce, Marketplace, Product Marketing, Strategy & Business Operations as well as our product (e.g. Jira and Confluence) teams and senior leadership.
- You'll work with - coaching and directing as needed - other dedicated FedRAMP PMs and multiple dedicated engineering teams
- You'll contribute to and help bring to life a vision of automated compliance, using FedRAMP as a forcing function to change systems and practices
Your background
- 10+ years of Product Management experience building enterprise software products and/or tech services and/or platforms
- Have led or been instrumental in the successful delivery of at least one comparable (i.e. B2B SaaS) FedRAMP (Moderate or above) implementation
- Have worked in large-scale collaborative companies across timezones
- Experience working directly with customers in collaboration with sales/systems engineering teams for large deployments or deals
- Strong technical background, comfortable understanding/ sparring/ challenging technical approaches with experienced architects and senior engineering leadership, as well as with customers
- A proven track record for defining, building and delivering high impact products that create business and customer value in fast-growth or large-scale companies
- Able communicate and manage relationships across the organization - from customers, developers, to senior executives.
- You gather, prioritize and translate customer and business requirements into successful product strategies
CompensationAt Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:Zone A: $204,300 - $313,400Zone B: $183,900 - $282,100Zone C: $169,600 - $260,200Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience.
