On this team you will participate in the design of a world-class engineering effort to bring electric vehicles to a new level of refinement. Our primary function at Lucid includes,· Creating physics based or data driven plant models· Validating plant models against actual measurement data for accuracy· Integrating plant models to create virtual vehicle representation for HW/SW integration· Testing at Hardware in Loop or System Integration level· Providing automation or scripting support for various SW testing activitiesThere is no job quite like it in the industry. The Role:· Work with cross-function team to identify plant model requirements for MIL/SIL/PIL/HIL/System Integration testing· Support development of real-time Simulation Models using MATLAB/Simulink, Simscape, ASM, Carmaker, etc. for testing of integrated controllers using Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL)· Design & Develop SW tools using M scripts/Python scripts to automate integration of closed-loop library models· Interface with hardware, controls, and domain simulation teams to adapt their models for HIL closed-loop feature testing· Work with requirement owners to establish validation metrics for plant models· Validate component, sub-system or full system model against actual vehicle data from field· Document and track modeling issues as appropriate. Participate in triaging of model issues with various teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution· Implement performance improvements as well as improve model fidelity/functionality· Develop software tools to help with process optimization· Help with scalability of model for new and upcoming products· Participate in the design of a world-class engineering effort to bring electric vehicles to a new level of refinement
Must Haves
- Understanding of Electric Vehicles.
- Understanding of SW development V-cycle.
- Modeling experience with Simulink.
- Experience modeling physical systems.
- Experience with numerical methods and ordinary differential equations.
- Scripting experience with MATLAB/Python.
- MIL, SIL, HIL experience
Nice to Haves
- Participation in FSAE, BAJA SAE or Deep Orange
- Experience with physical systems and/or controls modeling
Education Requirements
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS (preferred) in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering related field or equivalent experience
- Graduation dates of May 2023 or earlier
