You will be working along with the security engineering team - a crazy smart group dedicated to improving the security of our products and engineering practices. We work both independently and in collaboration with development teams as we assess and respond to security issues that might occur with new products and features.We're expanding our security Data Leak Prevention (DLP) and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) capabilities and looking for smart, technical, people to help us build and run new monitoring/analytics systems to detect and prevent data leaks in Atlassian. As a Team Lead for DLP and CASB at Atlassian you'll manage and mentor a team of security analysts and guide the growth of our DLP and CASB capability, as well as helping the team build DLP/CASB platforms, and monitor and maintain our DLP and CASB technologies.We would love for you to be a great developer and data analyst, but more importantly, you must be bright, motivated and love security. You should be comfortable writing code to get things done and not depend on third party products to do your job. You must have a strong understanding of DLP and CASB, as well as network, system, and application security.As a Manager, you'll be expected to:-Manage analysts on your team to configure and monitor DLP solutions, and respond to DLP incidents.-Evaluate gaps in Atlassian's exisiting DLP and CASB capabilities.-Design and implement DLP and CASB solutions covering endpoints, cloud apps, production and corporate systems.-Work with partner teams on the planning and rollout of new DLP/CASB capabilities.-Take on ownership of large deliverables and complex problems, and clearly break up the work into smaller tasks to be carried out with the rest of the team.-Strive toward improvement, question the way things are, and be a driver of change.-Not be afraid to get your hands dirty and contribute to technical support and your team's project delivery. -Enjoy mentoring and teaching members of the team.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- 3+ years experience working in security, including at least 1 year experience with DLP and/or CASB
- Have directly managed teams of 3+ people at a previous role
- Experience in security incident response
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience of developing and instilling a culture of broad product ownership and operational maturity.
- Experience building and delivering projects from start to finish
- Passion for collaboration and strong interpersonal skills
It's great, but not required, if you have:- Fluency in any modern programming languages (preferably Python, Ruby, Java or Go)
- Written code to complete security tasks
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud service platform
- Contributions to the security community or open source projects
- Data analytics experience
