Lead Software Developer

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Develop new software and solve bugs with existing software. Work independently and as part of small team. Design and develop high-performance software for Cloud services, and Backup Agent components. Review and maintain code. Write unit and functional tests, ensuring the components are robust and reliable. Participate in architecture discussions and project planning meetings. Participate in architecture discussions and project planning. Participate in code review process. Position is fixed location based in Tempe office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Information Systems or a directly related field plus nine (9) years of related software development experience. Experience must include:

• Seven (7) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery and platform components, both cloud and on-premise
• Five (5) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Programming skills (C++, Python, Golang)
  • Writing functional and unit tests as well as testing tools
• Three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Designing APIs for libraries or frameworks
