This position requires an experienced professional with a basic understanding of MATLAB or Python programming. As well as a passion for working on EV’s. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Work cross collaborative with several teams
- Supporting testing and automating powertrain and body features
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive test automation and test coverage for Lucid Air and upcoming vehicle programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MATLAB and Python programming
- Have a mechanical or electrical engineering background
- Exposure to work with hardware electronics
- Understanding of automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN or Ethernet
Nice to have:
- Experience collaborating on a team such as FSAE groups that focus on understanding the whole system, CASHE or powertrain
- Exposure to working on vehicles such as motor battery or other related areas
- Exposure to Simulink
Education:
- Field(s)of study: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning or related fields
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university.
- Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
Information:
- Location: This position is in Newark, CA. You must be prepared to start onsite for your first day of employment.
- Availability: Full-time is preferred
- Anticipated Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Work Environment: Mix of office, bay and lab.
- Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable.
- Visa Sponsorship: Lucid may but is not obligated to sponsor foreign national employees requiring company sponsorship for U.S employment authorization.
- Medical Benefits: Dental and vision on day 1 for all interns working 30+ hours a week; medical for interns in California working 30+ hours a week.
