Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated individual, with a desire to learn, to join the Financial Accounting team.  Attention to detail and excellent communication / interpersonal skills are essential to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and ability to have enough proactiveness to research and ask the right questions will be key. You will primarily be involved with financial statement preparation for our International entities in accordance with the necessary audit and accounting standards and a key contributor to the timely and accurate completion of our audit deliverables. Responsibilities include:     ·       Prepare assigned Statutory Financial Statements for the legal entities administered from the UK offices to ensure compliance with accounting standards.·       Ensure accounts are accurate and comply with accounting standards and reporting requirements·       Prepare schedules for company audits and liaise with auditors on reconciliations and analysis performed·       Prepare supporting working papers for our monthly and quarterly reporting needs·       Timely and accurate completion of audit requests as and when raised by external audit team·       Liaising with external managers and accountants of the accounting organization and other areas of the business to fulfil audit requests·       Management of the government survey process and timely submission·       Provide ad hoc financial analysis support to the Financial Reporting Manager and business as the need arises·       Motivate, coach and mentor the junior members of the accounting organization to achieve their maximum potential and nourish their accounting knowledge·       Develop processes that are scalable to cater for Rackspace growth, including expansion into new countries·       Integral role in development, testing, and implementation of improvements on the processes that impact management accounting to ensure adequate controls are in place to meet audit and SOX requirements, efficiency is achieved, productivity is increased, and quality is not compromised as the need arises·       Other ad hoc duties as identified by the center of excellence management team.   #LI-SM6About Rackspace TechnologyWe are the multicloud solutions experts.
