In this role you will work with stakeholders in service, manufacturing and engineering to analyze root cause issues in customer and engineering vehicles.  You will also work with the Integration and Wiring Harness Engineers to deep dive into the electrical system architecture for the vehicle. This is a great opportunity to work with a very talented team of engineers and to collaborate with the brightest minds in the Automotive industry.  

The Role

    • Work with stakeholders in service, manufacturing and engineering to analyze root cause issues in customer and engineering vehicles. 
    • Review data logs from multiple sources to understand vehicle behavior and support issue resolution.  
    • Work with Integration and Wiring Harness Engineers to deep dive into the electrical system architecture for the vehicle. 
    • Work with Corporate Quality on driving defects to closure 
    • Provide input to architecture development and optimization of future vehicle programs. 
    • Participate in low voltage architecture reviews. 
    • Work with test and validation engineers to plan and perform low voltage validation tasks. 
    • Participate in the design of a world class engineering effort to bring electric vehicles to a new level of refinement. 

Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience with vehicle architecture development and electrical integration 
    • Fundamental understanding of circuit design, mechanical systems, sensors and actuators, architectural concepts as well as ECU (Electronic Control Units) communication. 
    • Ability to read and understand power architecture documents, vehicle wiring schematics, network and communication designs 
    • Experience with failure analysis methodology like FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and fault trees. 
    • Basic knowledge of ISO26262 and ASIL decomposition.  
    • Experience with data analysis tools such as Grafana, Tableau as well as Vector CANalyzer / CANoe.  
    • Electric vehicle systems and hands-on troubleshooting experience. 
    • Motivation to make a difference in the automotive industry. 
    • Excellent communication skills. 

Education

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science
