Director – Google Cloud Practice - Global (Remote role in USA)

Rackspace is looking for a global leader to build and grow the newly created Google Cloud Business group to 300M+ in next 3 years. This is a leadership role reporting to the Corporate VP of Platform and Application Services. GCP Practice leader would be responsible for managing the Google Services business globally. The primary function of this role is to run a profitable google cloud business with Sales, partnership, and Solutioning. Partnering with field sales team growing Google services globally. Google Cloud Services business includes primary Google Cloud consulting, implementation, and managed services business. This role will also work closely with GCP team in developing business plan with them and achieve the agreed joint targets.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Leadership: Practice leader for Global GCP Services with responsibility for revenue, margin and growth targets
    • Strategy: Deliver against a clear business plan that includes prioritized offerings, target markets/customers/segments, monetization model, mix of Racker and Partner delivered capabilities, and clear performance measures/objectives.
    • Sales: Responsible for growing the GCP services globally working with Filed Sales and Go To market team.
    • Sales: Lead Solution and partner led sales with existing and new customers.
    • Pre-Sales- Actively participate in presales activities, deal reviews for the GCP services business.
    • Solutioning: Lea differentiated offering creation for customers helping them achieve their business objectives.
    • Partner: Clearly define the 3-year business plan with GCP and achieve yearly targets.
    • Partner- Partner with GCP in creating strategic initiatives that would help the growth of business.
    • Partner: Establish one of the top consulting and professional services for GCP
    • Partner- Work with Offering and marketing organization to create market defining offers and lead the sales and deployment of those offers
    • Partner: Create pipeline along with GCP and win new logos.
    • Operational Excellence: Forecast accurately revenue, margin, for GCP services business.
    • Operational Excellence: Represent business in front of Senior Leaders and customers.
    • Cross-organizational agility, communication, and leadership.
    • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of clients’ business and industry, anticipating and addressing opportunities and issues as they arise

Skills:

    • Seasoned business leader with strong experience in growing cloud Services business for Hyperscalers or leading Consulting/SI organizations of 150M+
    • Strong understanding of technology and standard practices around architecting and   developing professional services engagements.
    • In depth knowledge of GCP offerings and services to build and deliver services around them.
    • Experience of building large cloud services business with one of the three Hyperscalers (GCP, AWS or Microsoft)
    • Proven leader in developing, marketing, and selling technology-based cloud services business.
    • Strong experience of leading customer discussions and winning deals based on solution strength.
    • Strategic thinker who can plan and build long range plans and execute it.
    • Thorough knowledge of all areas of business operation including strategic and operational    planning.
    • Ability to lead teams of technical sales, consultants, and alliance managers.
    • Proven leadership and motivational skills with a passion for excellence and a constant desire to innovate and improve.
    • Excellent time management, communication both oral and written, decision-making, presentation, human relations, and organizational skills.
    • Must be a strong presenter to technical and business audiences.
    • Attention to detail in all areas of the work.

Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
    • Advanced degree preferred.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

    • 15+ years’ experience building, and leading Cloud services business
    • 10+ years architecting partnership and strategic initiatives with one of the three hyperscaler.
    • 10 + years of experience in growing and achieving revenue targets

Travel Time:

    • Ability to travel up to 25-50% as needed.

These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time.
