Accountable for accomplishing sustainable growth and a superior customer experience for their dedicated vertical portfolio of customers and the services that they are utilizing. This critical role will be accountable for the success of the vertical as a whole- including gaining market reputation and recognition, orchestrating the customer journey in a consistent way, and generating vertical opportunities. Provides leadership and direction through managers, senior managers and senior professional staff. Is accountable for the performance and results of a functional area, team or region. Executes business plans and contributes to the development of sub-functional strategy. Decisions are guided by functional or major operational segment strategy and priorities.•Acting as an industry leader- developing a point of view and advisory techniques, providing mentoring, and implementing continuous improvement programs within verticals and portfolios •Developing strong professional relationships, building rapport both internally and externally to deliver service, sustainable revenue growth and account stability •A passion for working in small and large teams, directing, and holding others accountable to providing excellent customer outcomes within contract terms, profitablyRegularly meets or exceeds bookings, revenue growth targets, cost controls, and contract health •Leads high value verticals (greater than $10M MRR) •Documented quarterly and annual strategic plans, embraced by the firm and the vertical customers •Achieves an above average Net Promoter Score •Avoidance of customer defection(s) •Mitigation of SLA credits through good administrative practices, strategic improvement to customer operations and Rackspace services, and negotiation of service failures •Leads service governance and ensures commercial adherence •Contributes to portfolio and vertical growth through strategic leadership and collaboration with business development team #LI-CS1

Key Responsibilities.

    • With the team, develop and iterate an Industry point of view, reference portfolio, and market footprint with respect to Rackspace products, services, and partners
    • Leverage SMEs, specialists, and technical thought leaders to build vertical technical roadmaps, value streams, and sales propositions that are vertically relevant and profitable
    • Develop strong network relationships at the C+ level to build market reputation and opportunity pipeline
    • In partnership with Customer Success, build a clear, focused, and measurable vertical plan- which includes detailed portfolio and account plans- that sustainably grow revenue, expand footprint, and increase partner plays
    • Orchestrate portfolio teams to deliver a 360-degree customer experience. These teams include all facets of sell, design, build, operate, and optimize
    • Work closely with Marketing and Product to execute vertical, portfolio and account-based campaigns
    • Lead the selling system for the vertical, including development of 4x pipeline coverage, qualification, presales resource prioritization, deal management (including progress re, and deal closure Manage the Vertical P&L to achieve target margins
    • Cycle Vertical Rackquisition portfolio to optimize bookings and revenue growth
    • Resolve conflicts and issues at a Vertical level wherever practical
    • Closely adhere to responsible business practices, including compliance, ethics, and inclusion 

Knowledge

    • High level understanding of industry practices, strategy, and future direction
    • Technical acumen and understanding of the multi-cloud solution landscape
    • Advanced understanding of Rackspace’s differentiator in the market with an ability to communicate the value of that difference to key stakeholders providing FANATICAL SUPPORT.
