Become part of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to transform the automotive and mobility industry.The Autonomous Driving (AD) team in Lucid is currently seeking a Director to be responsible for the ADAS/ AD software (SW) Engineering, Machine Learning, and Data Engineering development. This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of successfully bringing new automotive ADAS and AD features into production. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection.You Will:Manage and direct the ADAS/AD SW Engineering, Machine Learning, and Data Engineering groups and lead SW development Contribute to the AD SW development roadmap, strategic planning, production rollout planningLead the ADAS/AD perception SW, sensor fusion, localization, motion planning and Control, software architecture, data engineering for Lv.2/3/4 AD systems Lead the design, prototyping, engineering, validation, and launching the cutting-edge Autonomous driving software stacks Be responsible for all the ADAS/Autonomous Driving SW production releaseManage supplier partnerships and engagementsDrive the ADAS/AD SW specifications with creative ideas to bring each ADAS/AD feature to the next level providing the best in class premium experienceLead a rapid prototype system in quickly manner to show a proof of the conceptLead performance validation and evaluation of the SW systemWork closely with Tier 1/2 suppliers and internal teams to implement innovative solutionsContribute to the timely delivery of fully validated, high-quality customer featuresWork closely with other teams to ensure good communication to achieve a seamless and robust vehicle implementationYou Bring:Proven track record of bringing AD SW, machine learning algorithm, and development process into productionIn-depth experience in SW development & release process, AD perception algorithm, sensor calibration, and motion control and planning development & deploymentKnowledge in programming in C/C++, testing complex SW systems Experience with automotive supplier interaction, specification development, project/release management, change managementCapability and creativity to successfully complete projects with unconventional ideas in highly constrained, innovative startup environmentsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Advantageous:Knowledge of ROS, DDS or other middleware systems, Autosar Knowledge of any other programming languages (e.g. Matlab / Simulink, Python, C/C++, JavaScript, etc.) Experience in working in agile development teams Experience in component and system integration, testing and verification on system and vehicle level Knowledge of applicable safety standards and regulations (ASPICE, ISO 26262), industry benchmark and customer requirements Experience in automotive supplier interaction, specification development, release management, change management Educational Requirements:MS plus 3 years industry experience in the areas of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or other related fieldsHigher degrees preferred3 years of managing experience or 10 years SW engineering experience, ideally in the automotive fieldAt Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
