Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform large-scale data analysis to extract useful business insights 
• Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence the direction of the business by communicating results to cross-functional groups 
• Work closely with a Product Manager and Engineering team to proactively create the rule and manage decisions 
• Mine raw data to identify trends in equipment reliability, installation quality, degradation, etc. 
• Suggest improvements in the tools and techniques to help scale the team 
• Collect, consolidate and securely store data streamed real-time  
• Write scripts, macros, and programs to automate routine analyses and actions 
• Create reports and presentations for upper management, finance partners and others 

Qualification:

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors, Masters or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related technical field 
• Experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches (or equivalent) 
• Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team 
• Experience with SQL or other programming languages (Python, Java, and/or C++) 
• Development experience in at least one scripting language  (Python, Bash, etc.) 
• Curious, self-driven, analytical and excited to play with data 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment 
• Fluency with Python (and libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, sci-kit-learn) 
• Comfortable with large data sets and distributed computing tools on cloud is a plus (Spark, Map/Reduce, Hadoop, etc.)
