Join us.   Barbaricum is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to manage cybersecurity-related activities covered in DoDI 8540.01 Cross Domain Policy. This position will integrate with the Secretary of the Air Force Concepts, Development and Management Office (SAF/CDM) Mission Partner Capabilities Office (MPCO) to coordinate across the MPCO Divisions, Cross Domain Support Element (CDSE), National Cross Domain Services Management Office (NCDSMO) and other organizations to ensure RMF artifacts for Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) are delivered in accordance with project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with personnel in RMF roles (e.g., ISSO, ISSM, Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), Security Control Assessor (SCA), etc.); use RMF processes to validate selected security controls
  • Verify CDS is utilized per approved security relevant configuration and document requirements
  • Identify possible security vulnerabilities and document findings to support annual Cross Domain Solution Authorization (CDSA) revalidation

Qualifications

  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required
  • Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a relevant field (Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years additional work experience related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a Master’s Degree)
  • 10 years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description with 6 years of specific functional experience supporting a component of the DoD
  • Experience in cybersecurity-related field; must hold Security+ or equivalent certification, CISSP desired 
  • Experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  • Experience in coalition operations and/or bilateral military information sharing efforts is a plus.
  • Knowledge and application of DoD, CJCS and Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) security-related policies and guidance
  • Experience as a staff officer on DoD, CCMD, Joint, Service Staff in the Communications & Information office (e.g., A6, J6, N6), or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and other office automation products for producing presentations, portals, documents, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
