This position requires an experienced professional with a background in automotive sensor and/or ECU electronics component testing from OEMs or Tier 1, and having a track record of successfully enabling the success of cross function teams by setup, configuration, run tests, calibration, improvement.Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and be excellent at multi-tasking, and strive for perfection.

Your role:

    • Be responsible for lab setup from planning, to construction, to daily operation
    • Lead the test process to implement test standards, best practices and workflows as required
    • Work with engineering team to create test cases and derive test procedures / sequences based on requirements and feature listings
    • Lead test automation strategy, develop scripts (MATLAB, Python etc.) to perform automated testing cycles
    • Support any qualification of test setups necessary to validate results
    • Work with vendors to understand and solve issues and lead the development of custom tools
    • Support test runs at various levels of integration, and document test results
    • Report and escalate issues as appropriate and participate in triaging of issues with different teams
    • Manage procurement of equipment for lab and vehicle testing and diagnostics
    • Prepare accessories including harness, test targets, etc. to enable lab testings
    • Manage and schedule usage of shared resource such as lab equipment and lab space
    • Work with engineering team and suppliers regarding equipment calibration and maintenance
    • Work on lab certification if necessary

Qualifications:

    • Hands-on aptitude to make things work in EE, software, and/or ME realms
    • Experience in bring up, debug, testing of complex automotive hardware / software systems
    • Experience in lab space design, construction, maintenance
    • Experience in developing and executing validation plans with engineering teams and suppliers
    • Experience in automotive standard testing requirements
    • Very familiar with schematics, and cable assembly drawings
    • Familiar with safety standards and precaution requirements
    • Valid driver license and good records
    • Excellent communication skills

Advantageous:

    • Experience in lab management and improvement
    • Familiar with automotive regulations and functional safety standards
    • Experience in automotive software including flashing and maintaining of ECUs
    • Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Vector tools etc. other popular automotive tools
    • Experience in building and using HIL test setups (Speedgoat, dSpace, OpalRT and their relevant tools), system level test benches and CAN / LIN / Automotive Ethernet network verification tools (e.g. CANoe, CANalyzer, VehSpy etc.)
    • Expert knowledge in test automation and scripting languages and tools (MATLAB, Python, Jenkins, ECU-Test, AutomationDesk or similar)
    • Solid background in in-vehicle networking protocols and architecture
    • Soldering and cable assembly experience
    • Proficiency in test instruments such as spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, oscilloscope, ESD simulator, antennas, etc.
