This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of technical excellence in software flashing and sensor calibration.Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and be excellent at multi-tasking, and strive for perfection.

The Role:

    • Maintain and upgrade ECU software to support engineering and manufacturing needs
    • Perform validation and verification for software release, including calibration and driving tests
    • Develop and execute test plans to validate calibrations against subjective, objective, and functional safety requirements
    • Run tests at various levels of integration, document and report test results
    • Troubleshoot various systems and ECUs using lab and measurement equipment
    • Root cause investigations and diagnoses at system, modular, and component level.
    • Troubleshooting EV automotive electrical systems, Ethernet, CAN, coax etc.
    • Support the test setup for ADAS lab
    • Travel to test facilities to support other teams with calibration, data acquisition, and analysis.
    • Prepare the harness and connectors according to engineers’ requirement
    • Enforce and follow all Safety rules and regulations
    • Professional, informative and responsive communication to customers

Qualifications:

    • Have adequate working knowledge of Linux/Unix, Windows and OS X
    • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
    • Good understanding on how to work safely and efficiently in the lab
    • Be proficient in general office PC programs and equipment monitoring systems
    • Critical thinking skills to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated issues
    • May include traveling to out of state and eventually, international
    • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and components
    • Detail oriented personality with strong documentation and reporting skills including Microsoft office and Jira/Confluence.
    • Aptitude for working independently in an environment with minimal guidance
    • Impeccable organization and clean work environment habit
    • Excellent driving records

Advantageous:

    • Has extensive experience working with embedded systems based on Linux/QNX and or AUTOSAR
    • Highly desirable to have automotive experience
    • Experience writing scripts - python/bash
    • Experience using UARTS, ethernet, ssh
    • Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
    • Experience setting up or using automated test environment for embedded systems
    • Experience flashing firmware embedded systems
    • Ability to read and understand: blueprints, schematics, SOP/BOM, and related material as well as follow exact instructions.
    • Ability to understand complex hardware and software issues
    • Hands-on experience in electronic product assembly, soldering and handcraft
    • Hands-on experience in test equipment like DMM, scope, probe, power supplies, etc.
    • Knowledge of power tools, pneumatic equipment, and machine shop tools: band saws, grinders, mill and lathe, shear press.
    • Awareness of electrical hazards, including precautionary measures around high voltage equipment and rotating machinery.
    • Thorough knowledge of connectors, terminals, seals and crimp tools
    • Experience with calibration processes and calibration management tools like AVL Creta or Vector CDM.
