You will help mid-size and large customers to better plan, migrate, set up, administer and consume Virtual Desktop solutions across their enterprise. You will understand the customer’s business and technical needs by working as an extension of the customer’s IT team, gathering an in-depth knowledge of their business and being able to recommend solutions with relevant technologies. Core Skills:

• Proven hands-on experience with EUC (End User Computing), M365, sharepoint, exchange, VDI technologies, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Azure AD, Exchange online, Citrix or VMware horizon
• Experience performing engineering work associated with the design, development, maintenance, and testing of infrastructure for desktop application packaging and deployment technologies
• Proven experience in managing Virtual Desktop environments like AVD or Citrix.
• Engineering, Designing, testing, implementing, maintaining, securing, and full life-cycle management of the complex Citrix XenDesktop and NetScaler solutions deployed in the large Enterprise environment
• Designing and supporting Microsoft infrastructure solutions including Azure Virtual Desktop, on-prem, cloud and hybrid
• Interacting with Government regarding technical considerations for problems, issues, or conflicts
• Engineering, implementing, mitigating, monitoring, and tuning VDI environment and management software to obtain Authorize To Operate (ATO) for new VDI solutions
• Managing Citrix products (Virtual Apps, Virtual Desktops, ADC, Provisioning) - transferable skills
• Operating and executing scripting skills in PowerShell or Python
• Demonstrable technical experience with Cloud VDI operation managing Azure Virtual Desktop / WVD, FSlogix, App attach
• Experience designing the Azure Virtual Desktop architecture
• Experience designing for user identities and profiles
• Experience implementing and managing networking & storage for AVD
• Experience creating managed pooled and personal VDI host pools

Additional Responsibilities:

• Ability to understand customers business processes; requirements and help convert them into solution designs.
• Lead or participate in business process due diligence, creation, and documentation of end-user requirements of new and/or existing customer application implementation projects.
• Collaborate with a team of Engineers, Architects, and Sales Specialists to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs.
• Provide current best practice and 3rd party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document.
• Share best practices and be consultative to clients throughout the duration of the project - act as a trusted partner.
• Understand business drivers for professional services projects and assist in defining required features and mapping services to business processes.
• Act as a key contributor in the design of customized solutions and execute the solution by leveraging native tools and toolsets.
• Manage task-level budget/scope to ensure client success and project profitability; tactfully work with clients to address out of scope requests and use client account manager to re-align expectations or seek additional scope/budget.
• Assist the business in understanding the effort, risk, and effect of making changes to products and services.
• Co-team with the Technical Architect to produce a technical specification for custom deployments and systems integration requirements.
