We are looking for an organized self-starter to join the Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) team at Amazon. Amazon Transportation Services have built a world-class Middle Mile operation, which rely on an exceptional pool of carriers who work relentlessly to meet our customers’ expectations. TRC is looking for a high-judgment individual to join us as a Transportation Audit and Compliance Manager to audit Amazon Middle-Mile carrier partners’ compliance against contractual and legal requirements, and drive a compliance culture both internally and externally. We are looking for an individual with strong audit experience, preferably in transport, who can apply their expertise to 1) conduct thorough carrier inspections and audits across different business models, 2) execute risk based operational process reviews , 3) identify compliance, regulatory and reputational risks at carrier and process level and deep dive to identify root causes, proposing risk-mitigation solutions, and 4) deliver detailed finding and recommendation reports for both carriers and business teams. The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to details aptitudes as well as strong data-driven mindset and capabilities, but also excellent soft skills for stakeholder management and earning carriers’ trust. If you wish to innovate on behalf of customers, are passionate about driving compliance, reducing risks and making an impact in society , come join our team and make history!Key job responsibilities•Inspect and audit Amazon Middle Mile carrier partners to verify that they operate compliantly with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements• Conduct end-to-end process risk oriented reviews, both from a design and effectiveness perspective • Provide thorough finding and recommendation reports to senior management and business partners, making an impact on business • Provide precise audit and inspection reports to carrier partners and Amazon-internal process owners, with clear finding details, actionable corrective actions, and short/mid/long-term preventative recommended actions, helping them achieve and maintain compliance requirements • Conduct short-notice audits and inspections as required with the utmost flexibility and quality standards • Investigate suspicious carrier activity and behavior that could pose a risk to Amazon, our customers, or others • Meet individual and team goals with the highest standards and diligence • Achieve audit and inspection productivity and quality standards • Lead and/or participate in special projects and/or assignments as necessary About the teamEuropean multicultural inclusive team. Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of probable audit experience, preferably in Transport• Risk & internal control frameworks understanding• Outstanding Spanish and English communication abilities, both written and verbal• Exceptional attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset• Ability to work under pressure, handle stress and deliver high-standard results quickly• Ability to work with virtual teams with the highest levels of team spirit and integrity• Proven ability to analyze and interpret information received• Proven ability to collaborate with other areas (finance, legal, safety, etc.)• Project management experience (result oriented)• Excellent knowledge of Office tools (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)• Experience in handling confidential data• Willingness to travel (local within the country) up to 30% of the time (post Covid)
Preferred Qualifications
• Transportation experience/understanding (e.g. Transport Manager, Fleet Manager, etc.) no mandatory but a plus.• Compliance and risk management experience (reviewing processes, risk assessments, auditing)• Working knowledge of local transport and contractual laws and regulations • Project management and continuous process improvement experience • Data software experience (e.g. Tableau, QuickBase, etc.) • Fluent in other of the following languages it's a plus: French, German, Italian, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian• Professional auditing qualification is a plus (CIA, CISA, CFE)Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
