You will have the opportunity to work with a strong team of Engineers, DBAs, and support staff working on large-scale distributed enterprise systems. You will drive the success of large cross-functional projects to enhance our product, services, and customer experience. Career Level SummaryThis position takes direct ownership of various cross-team projects and drives them to completion with little instruction on day-to-day work. The position works with teams within ObjectRocket and across Rackspace, including network engineering, data centers, capacity planning, finance, and others.
Experience/ Responsibilities
- 6+ years project management or service delivery management experience, with PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience leading delivery of complex projects with cross-functional teams using traditional and agile project delivery methodologies.
- Experience working with one or more of the following areas is preferred: process improvement, software engineering, networking, and/or data centers. Experience working with Agile engineering teams.
- Experience working with databases, DBAs, and support staff.
- Proven ability to drive projects and lead staff effectively to on-time completions.
- Aptitude and the drive to learn new technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively and independently.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and stakeholders.
- Ability to work within a remote team.
- BA/BS in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent work experience is preferred.
