Sr Consultant I- Agile Change Transformation - IAM Advisory Services | Remote, USA

Join us.Successful Identity Access Management (IAM) and cybersecurity efforts involve a significant amount of Organizational Change Management (OCM) and Program Management (PM) efforts to align leadership and stakeholders, and roll out business processes and technical systems. At Optiv, we've created the Agile Change Transformation team that combines several OCM and PM methodologies to meet our clients where they are and help them achieve their cybersecurity maturity. This individual will work as an integrated team with seasoned IAM Advisory consultants and experts to deliver cohesive and comprehensive advisory and tactical solutions and outcomes to clients. In this role, this individual will be expected to utilize and customize proven OCM and PM approaches and frameworks to advise, educate, and coach clients in engagements that mature IAM and cybersecurity programs. Our goal is to move clients from their current to future state as smoothly as possibly. Some methodologies we use are, but are not limited to, Prosci, Agile, and Scrum. Critical thinking, high self-motivation and initiative to work through ambiguous, complex or unfamiliar topics, and superb communication skills are foundational expectations for this role. Additionally, this individual will influence and drive internal process improvements and ongoing growth of the team, offerings, and approaches to best meet the needs of current and future clients. This may include optimizing messaging and content in delivery, collaborating with team members to prepare for and execute on client engagements, developing outlines and messaging themes for client deliverables, and providing objective feedback to improve internal and client-facing documentation and processes.

How you'll make an impact:

    • Quickly builds an understanding of the business, situation, and desired outcome(s)
    • Advises clients on OCM and PM leading practices, lessons learned and trends, while designing and integrating tailored OCM and PM solutions into broader client activities as a part of a team-based consulting delivery model
    • Assesses, strategizes, plans and communicates the needed OCM and PM activities to promote and help ensure faster adoption and (ultimately) sustainment of advisory recommendations and proposed roadmaps
    • Drives: stakeholder analysis; leadership alignment & engagement; change communications; change networks; change readiness assessments; job/role impact analysis; training/education; post-launch support; and key performance indicators
    • Develops and integrates tailored content and frameworks for effective OCM and communications into all advisory and solution consulting engagements
    • Creates detailed project plans (ex. Kanban boards), clearly and visually communicate project status, identify and overcome project roadblocks, and hold project teams and clients accountable for forward progress on engagements.
    • Provides knowledge and effective leadership to cross-functional teams that enables execution of strategic projects including project leadership, planning, management and tracking of project plans/tasks as well as monitoring and tracking improvement.
    • Facilitates process improvement workshops and leads design teams in process improvement initiatives
    • Identifies and effectively utilizes appropriate data analysis techniques and professional acumen to identify root cause issues and determine the most appropriate method for improvement performance (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, redesign, Agile, etc.)
    • Quantifies engagement impacts and communicates results to the business through the executive sponsor for the project
    • Provides tracking and lessons learned mechanisms for continual process/program improvement
    • Serves as a project liaison to the broader strategic operations team to ensure alignment of critical business efforts across multiple functional groups in order to optimize project results, coordinate between projects and minimize duplication of efforts

Qualifications for success:

    • Bachelor’s or higher degree or its equivalent in certifications or work experience - with a preference in STEM, Computer Science, Cyber Security, etc
    • Experience and knowledge of OCM principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Prosci, Kotter, and LaMarsh), with the ability to assess, build, and execute tailored OCM strategies and plans
    • Experience with and/or certification in Program Management methodologies (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, redesign, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
    • Experience with OCM and PM strategies in relation to Information Technology (IT) efforts is strongly preferred
    • Working knowledge of Agile and DevOps concepts is preferred
    • Highly empathetic to understand that change isn't one-size-fits-all, the different audiences impacted by a change, and how to articulate their motivations to increase buy-in and adoption
    • Excitement and willingness to take on complex, ambiguous and unique problems with a high degree of quality and pride
    • Strong ability to be agile and flexible to unique needs
    • High degree of business acumen
    • Demonstrated ability to work within and across leadership levels to facilitate successful change
    • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence the behaviors and attitudes of individuals throughout the project/change process
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively size, scope, plan and manage strategic project(s)
    • Proven ability to identify and perform appropriate process analysis and successfully present the case for change to a variety of audiences; demonstrated ability to utilize appropriate approach and influencing skills that result in successful buy-in from identified executive stakeholders
    • Demonstrated successful record that shows effective leadership of engagement elements and people for specific Six Sigma/Lean/Re-engineering projects and teams resulting in the delivery of tangible results to the targeted objective(s)
    • Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, or other process design application
    • Independent time management and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
    • Strong business acumen and knowledge of cybersecurity or IT landscape
    • Strong interpersonal skills; possess high standard of integrity and confidentiality
    • Strong written and presentational skills; ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences; excellent presentation and follow-up skills.
    • Bachelor's degree and ideally 5 - 10 years of related work experience in OCM, Program Management, and communications for large enterprises
    • This will be a largely remote role, but ability to travel periodically up to 10% may be required for conferences and unique client circumstances
