Who are our Solution Leads?The Solution Leads are highly experienced, knowledgeable, and well-respected members of our EMEA Solutions team, with a proven track record in pre-sales and consultancy services. Alongside our Client Directors, they are responsible for leading and winning complex pursuits or supporting our Solution Directors in our most strategic engagements. They are outcome orientated and lead the service and solution ownership of pursuits that meet one or more of the following criteria:• Strategic in nature, including services.• Complex due to scale or scope.• Cross discipline opportunities leveraging multiple clouds, managed services, hosting.Our Solution Leads provide commercial, technical, service and solution leadership. Through thought leadership, experience and business acumen they orchestrate internal teams and our customers to deliver world class complex solutions and services. They are key members of a pursuit team throughout the sales lifecycle, providing strategic guidance for our customer's transformation initiatives to align with their desired business outcomes. As role models operating at the highest levels, our consultants, architects and graduates one day aspire to become tomorrow’s next generation of Solution Leads whilst on a path to becoming a Principal Architect, Solution Director, Account or Industry CTO. That’s why coaching and mentoring is a high priority to continuously develop, feed and nurture our talent pipeline and help others develop their careers to become the best they can be.
What do we look for in our Solution Leads?Our Solution Leads are accomplished and highly experienced solution designers. They have extensive experience of leading virtual client facing teams across international geographies and interact at multiple levels of seniority, from day-to-day management, through to leadership. They are clear and concise communicators with excellent presentation skills and author high quality impactful artefacts. They are driven by the need to ensure our clients are informed and advised with the best strategies, services, and solutions to meet business requirements.They are strategic consultants well versed with the broad technological and transformational challenges our customers face as they transition and transform from their Current Mode of Operations through to their Future Mode of Operations.They should have current certified technology expertise. Although this is highly desirable (we have a wealth of certified experts on hand to help when the need arises), they will have at least held relevant certifications in the past and have an excellent grounding in infrastructure, applications and multiple cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, GCP and VMware. It’s not just the infrastructure but also functional and non-functional requirements across applications, tooling, ITSM and process that they are highly proficient to advise, consult and solution across.Leadership, strategy, and problem solving are essential competences (amongst others) we look for and typically our Solution Leads have gained their experience through a solid technical and service orientated background to give them vital experience and authority for the strategic decisions our customers need to make.
Personal specification:
- A proven background in leading and winning complex, multi-tower pursuits.
- High degrees of technical acumen and current certified technology expertise.
- An excellent grounding in infrastructure, applications and multiple cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, GCP and VMware.
- Proven experience of leading virtual client facing teams across international geographies and interact at multiple levels of seniority, from day-to-day management, through to leadership.
- Driven by the need to ensure our clients are informed and advised with the best strategies, services, and solutions to meet business requirements.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills. Typically will have gained experience through a solid technical and service-orientated background to give them vital experience and authority for the strategic decisions our customers need to make.
- Highly strategic and consultative, with strengths in problem-solving and negotiation.
- Exemplary communication skills (written and oral); clear and concise with excellent presentation skills will the ability to author high quality impactful artefacts.

- Experienced with sales methodologies, strategies, and proposal management
- Experience with Shipley, Miller Heiman or equivalent
- Highly experienced with RFx, Proposals, Presentations
- Broad technical and service orientation and background

- Legal, contract, commercial, and financial dexterity
- Information, Risk, Security, Compliance and Regulatory knowledge and experience
