Senior Software Engineer - Backend (DOTS)

The DOTS (DAZN Operating Tools & Systems) are responsible for all aspects of the content that users see on the platform. From content metadata, imagery and text, rights management, event scheduling, editorial tooling to our CMS systems. We're now moving forward and building the next generation of these systems to allow DAZN to rapidly scale and grow. Your teamThe Guanacos (yes, we have fancy team names) own and support Ingest service. Our service takes metadata from multiple locations, processes it, and makes it available for all our DAZN customer applications. It's a core team. Their service needs to be super resilient. Most probably you will ask if we are working with scrum – the answer to your question is "YES". Have you ever seen a perfect burndown chart? What is most important is that you will work with great developers, a well-formed team – yes, the TEAM is the keyword here. They are not only good developers but great colleagues too. As our new Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Build and maintain scalable microservices
• Collaborate with Product Managers, and other Software Engineers to deliver a compelling user experience
• Deliver maintainable, robust, and testable code
• Share knowledge and collaborate with other developers across the business
• Evolve and design the services that power and monitor our video streaming
• Partner with the other Software Engineering teams to create end to end solutions

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

• Development Experience: Backend (preferred JS, TS)
• Experience with cloud and/or microservices (preferred AWS)
• Production development experience: unit tests, integration tests, monitoring
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with people at all seniority levels (English required)

Even better if you have:

• Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery experience
• Worked in a “Build it, own it” model
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as code
