Our team is open, encouraging, located around the globe, and is all about providing outstanding training solutions to our customers!Atlassian University is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to build highly technical training content for our rapidly growing customer base. Examples of customer-facing learning solutions include instructor-led training (ILT) for technical products, hands-on lab exercises, self-paced eLearning (video, infographics, interactive content), simulations, training webinars, or a new creative solution brainstormed by you.

What you'll do

    • Define, design, develop, update, and maintain training courses for administrators, end-users, and everyone in between on Atlassian products
    • Establish strongworking relationships with SMEs and partners to collaborate on content outlines, content creation, and other work
    • Create learning experiences in different formats, includingInstructor-Led Training (ILT), self-paced training, workshops, and webinars
    • Craft meaningful course interactions to increase retention or provide opportunities to apply new skills (including but not limited to knowledge checks, exercises, scripts, and storyboards)
    • Build effective assessments to ensure learners have been adequately prepared to use Atlassian tools in their day-to-day roles
    • Review and design content to support credentialing initiatives
    • Use feedback and course evaluation data to improve training content and efficiency

Your Background

    • At least 6 years of experiencedesigning and developing technical Instructor-led-training (ILT) for cloud software products
    • A Bachelor's degree in instructional design, computer science, information science, or equivalent work experience in a high-tech SaaS environment
    • Experience in the use of instructional design and agile methodologies to develop training content
    • Experience craftingengaging, effective, modern learning content that supports and improves customer adoption of products
    • Experience in managing course development projects from inception to completion
    • Communicate abstract or technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • The ability to identify the best learning delivery formats for a specific set of learning goals
    • Experience in working with a sandbox environment to develop hands-on-labsfor ILT courses
    • Experience in using project plans and storyboards to scope and plan work
    • Knowledge of Atlassian products such as Jira and/or Confluence
    • Knowledge of ITSM and DevOps preferred
At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:Zone A: $135,000 - $207,000Zone B: $121,000 - $186,300Zone C: $112,000 - $171,900Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and/or equity.Please see here for more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay zones.
