Senior Director, Sales Enablement

The Senior Director, Global Sales Enablement will build and transform the enablement team to be a world-class global function directly focused on key areas related to training, onboarding, content, and enablement to support the productivity and success of all field facing team members (Sales, Customer Success, SDRs, Solution Architects, etc. This highly-visible role will collaborate with senior and executive leadership in all geographies to identify skill gaps, make solutions enablement recommendations, and lead enablement execution for the global sales strategy & operations team to drive revenue growth and expansion.  Enables high quality business operations to run effectively, efficiently and in full alignment with segment & functional strategies and objectives. Serves as a key collaboration source between sales and: finance, marketing, account management, legal, Product, HR, & IT. Shares responsibility for sales support functions. Create and direct sales enablement strategy. Implement training and development for sales staff on sales enablement strategy.

Responsibilities

    • Build out a thorough understanding of current capabilities and gaps across all sales channels from acquisition and through the customer lifecycle across geographies (pitch decks, talking points, competitive battle cards, product fact sheet, etc.).
    • Partner with field leadership teams to design and deliver transformational training and enablement.
    • Assess effectiveness of current enablement program from new hire onboarding through continuous learning and build a plan for optimizing for the future growth of the company.
    • Partner with Product Management team to enable revenue employees on all product related items (roadmap, releases, newly acquired products etc.)
    • Design a rigorous process to ensure that enablement is effective & continuously improved based on culture of feedback.
    • Support all major enablement related revenue field events such as annual Field Kick Off, Mid-year training, in-person onboarding etc.
    • Build a trusted partnership with stakeholder teams and deep understanding of their respective businesses to discover the critical enablement needs.
    • Creation, direction, and implementation of sales enablement strategy
    • Manage teams to develop scalable enablement frameworks and ensure operational success
    • Work with directors, senior managers, and professional staff to create/deliver impactful trainings to sales personnel
    • Creation/delivery of learning tools to share sales enablement strategy

Qualifications

    • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in Business Operations, Sales Operations and/or sales, including a minimum of 5 years of experience setting strategy and direction for sales organizations
    • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Business, or a related field. High school diploma or equivalent required. Equivalent combination of education & experience may be considered, at manager discretion.
    • Deep knowledge of sales principles and practices.
    • Proven ability to develop, lead, and motivate high performing teams and inspire team confidence and respect: mentoring, coaching, collaborating, providing clear expectations, training, guidance, career growth opportunities, and conflict resolution.
    • Solid strategic planning skills combined with exceptional project execution capabilities
    • Strong analytical mindset combined with the ability to analyze data and reports
    • Collaborative mindset with leadership capabilities and the ability to influence
    • Clear strategic thinker with vision and with the ability to execute on priorities
    • Strong project managements skills including scheduling, workstream management, risk management, status reporting and resource management
    • Strong cross-functional collaboration & project management skills
    • High proficiency in Technical/Sales content creation & presentation to both internal & external audiences

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The anticipated starting pay range of California, Washington state and New York City applicants for this role is $210,000 – $308,000.The anticipated starting pay range of Colorado applicants for this role is $180,300 – $264,440.These ranges for candidates may be modified in the future.Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time.
