About the RoleIf you are passionate about creating real business impact with the power of insights, you are in for a treat! As our Researcher in the Research & Insights team in Gojek Vietnam, you’ll be the go-to person for market insights, and the voice of our users and driver partners, helping to solve a multitude of business problems. Your main objective is to ensure that good insights get to the right audience, are interpreted the intended way, and are maximizing return on investments for the business. On this ride with us, you can expect the folks from Marketing, Corporate Strategy, Operations, Product Development teams to be your companions on a daily basis. You’ll get ample opportunity to hone your craft in qualitative, quantitative, and analytical research by managing multiple research projects end-to-end.
What You Will Do
- Design effective research studies (small to medium scale) with appropriate methodologies to meet the objectives within agreed upon timeline
- Embed yourself in various teams by attending/initiating relevant meetings and understand their research questions
- Manage and execute research/competitor Intel projects from end-to-end (e.g. Data Analysis, U&A study, Opportunity Sizing Study, Pricing Study, Conjoint Study, Competitive Analysis, Competitor Metrics Tracking)
- Generate actionable insights and recommendations, followed by disseminating the findings through presentations, discussions, or even workshops
- Discover and discuss research ideas, new methodologies, best practices with your manager to bring the Research & Insights team to greater heights
What You Will Need
- At least 3 years of experience in product research and consulting with proficiency in qualitative and quantitative methodologies and processes, an experience in client side is an advantage
- Experience in consumer insights, competitor insights and/or B2B research
- Ability to see beyond the obvious to derive deep actionable insights from robust analysis
- Good problem solving skills and being resourceful in overcoming challenges
- Experience in project management, able to exercise judgment to prioritize and execute on research needs
- Detail oriented, with ability to work under pressure while maintaining high output quality
- Proficiency in Vietnamese and English (written & oral)
About the TeamThe Research & Insights team is a family of 90 researchers spread out across Jakarta, Singapore, and Ho Chi Minh. Together with stakeholders in the Product, Business strategy, Operations and Marketing teams, we work to enhance the development and execution of Gojek’s overall business and marketing strategies, product design, and communication methods on various channels. Specifically, our approach combines sharp technical research skills, deep domain expertise on tech products, and well-worn analytical thinking abilities. As a multidisciplinary team, we strive to deliver insights and recommendations by ways of merging qualitative, quantitative, analytical, and business research.One of the biggest hurdles our team has had to face in the past is how to optimize the impact of our insights. It took us a lot of collaboration, brainstorming, and experimentation to figure out the best way to tackle this obstacle. Eventually, we learned that having more direct communication on our expectations, packaging and framing our insights that fit with different types of stakeholders, and really listening to what our company needs were the key to overcoming this barrier. Currently, we’re busy at work on various projects, including one about how to optimize our offerings and service for our merchant-partners. When we aren’t busy with our heads deep in research, you’d probably find us playing games together through Zoom. We’re made up of cinema enthusiasts, karaoke lovers, and anime fanatics. When COVID eventually subsides, our team is excited to have meals together once again.
