Job DescriptionThe Product Marketing Manager is a strategic and tactical thinker who is the mastermind of messaging, enabler of sales and accelerator of private cloud adoption. You will be responsible for understanding our private cloud products and services through the lens of the Product Managers and architects to interpret features and benefits into compelling and engaging messaging to attract prospects and create interest. You will create internal and external materials to be used by our Go-To-Market teams and regional marketing teams to drive demand, pipeline and revenue.
Responsibilities· Create and improve field messaging and assets that help customers from executives to developers clearly understand the unique value proposition for Rackspace Private Cloud. · Partner with sales leaders, business development leaders, product marketing leaders, and partners to develop sales plays. · Take the salesperson’s perspective for the customer and seller journey to write compelling sales collaterals to drive messaging that addresses how Rackspace Private Cloud can solve the challenges of key personas. · Work with Product Managers, Sales Leaders, Go-To-Market leaders, and Alliance Managers to develop effective field training and enablement tools including presentations, whitepapers, market analyses, and structured programs that help the field sales organization articulate our value proposition and uncover customer. · Engage leaders from specialist sales, engineering, and marketing to understand evolving customer requirements and perceptions to create and deliver compelling Rackspace differentiators. · Use field communication channels to drive adoption of sales plays and create awareness to sellers on visibility to new wins, proof points, and key messages. · Work effectively across Rackspace with groups such as product management, digital marketing, sales, sales enablement, business development, and evangelists to achieve business goals.
Knowledge · Thorough knowledge and experience throughout the product lifecycle. · Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. · Excellent understanding and/or experience with Cloud Computing, a plus. · Able to operate as a matrix manager by coordinating and influencing resources across the company.· Ability to work up and down levels of the organization.
Experience · 9+ years of relevant work experience in fields such as technical marketing, technical sales, or product marketing/management · 5+ years demonstrated track record in crafting positioning and marketing content · A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, technology, or relevant field · Demonstrated ability in launching and growing innovative technology products · Experience bringing high-tech products to market on a global scale. · Cloud Hosting, Managed Hosting or SaaS experience, a plus“The following information is required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act and applies only to individuals working in the state of Colorado.
