Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.The Principal Product Manager manages the product strategy for Atlassian's critical growth initiatives. This includes data gathering (qualitative and quantitative), planning and executing throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, creating the business case for new growth initiatives and working closely with engineering, product integrations and other partner teams to drive growth.The Principal Product Manager works across multiple streams of work to provide guidance and direction to a group of PMs to assure the success of their initiative, including both features they are directly responsible for, and other feature areas managed by Product Managers. The Principal Product Manager is a coach among Product Managers in their team - helping and guiding efforts across the team while also owning specific feature sets and deliverables. The Principal Product Manager will define and track key business and usage goals to measure success for products areas they own.Your future teamThe Principal Product Manager will report into the Growth team. The Growth team does everything from building exciting new features to running rapid experimentation.
What you'll do
- Lead growth strategy across a large product area and drive cross-organizational alignment
- Create business case for new growth initiatives in an ambiguous and high-impact space
- Set audacious goals and execute at a high velocity
Your background
- Growth product management background in a relevant space, ideally with experience in product integrations
- Extensive experience in effectively collaborating across a variety of technical and non-technical functions to drive towards common product goals
- Strong of experience in quantitative analysis geared towards drawing actionable insights from complex datasets
- Experimentation experience in designing multivariate tests, synthesize test results and build frameworks to make data-informed launch decisions
- Creative product ideation experience to apply growth tactics broadly to different product areas and think through detailed elements of a product experience
- Experience clearly communicating data-driven product insights to influence leadership direction
