If this sparks your interest, apply today and chat with our friendly Recruitment team further.Your future teamThe Editor Platform team is building a simple, delightful, powerful editing experience across Atlassian products - including Confluence, Jira, Trello and Bitbucket.We’re hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead the some of the most cutting edge work in the Editor that will deliver new experiences powered by AI to tens of millions of users.Atlassian is helping define modern product craft and is still led by the two original founders who relentlessly pursue the vision to unleash the potential in every team. You'll join a product-led company where product managers set strategy and lead teams towards big goals.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate across multiple triads of engineering and design to build a roadmap, set goals, and execute on your plans
- Work with architects to understand the technical details, constraints, and opportunities
- Help define the longer term strategic roadmap for Atlassian’s investment in AI experiences
- Spend as much time as possible talking to customers and analyzing customer feedback to inform product decisions
- Align with the product marketing team to ensure new features and the overall vision are effectively communicated to customers
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure platform capabilities are meeting their users needs.
- Report to the Group Product Manager for the Editor and work with product & company leadership, our incredible team of PMs, and partner teams to ship great experiences everywhere.
Your background:
- Recent experience in a product management role (ideally a product-led SaaS company)
- Proven ability to learn and adapt to fast moving new technologies
- Background working across engineering, design, and marketing to deliver complex, disruptive new experiences
- Passion for running experiments and able to context switch from talking about the big picture all the way down to implementation details
- Excitement about working on one of the most widely used platform components within Atlassian
- Strong understanding of platform experiences and technologies
- Influential leadership skills such as communication, networking, and stakeholder management
- Strong technical writing skills
- Strong opinions but enjoy being challenged to think about a problem from a different angle
It’s great, but not required, if you have:
- Direct experience working on an AI product or feature
- Some software development experience or experience working with developer communities
- Experience leading a team of product managers
- Computer science or related technical degree
