Principal Backend Software Engineer - Data Center Platform team

We are a growing high impact team empowering dozens of internal development teams building Data Center products and hundreds of external teams developing Marketplace Apps.We're hiring a Principal Software Engineer to join our growing team. You will report to Senior Engineering Manager in Data Center Core and together with the team you will provide an incredible experience for developers across the entire Data Center organisation.What you'll do:- Partner with other teams and guide them to centralise and automate dependency management in Data Center.- Work with Data Center Core leadership and provide technical input for defining project scope and roadmap.- Partner with principal engineers and architects from other teams and drive exploration of large-scale projects spanning multiple teams in Data Center.- Solve interesting, complex problems from technical design to launch.- Set the standard for meaningful code reviews.- Live up to high engineering standards and mentor more junior engineers in Data Center Core.Your Background:- 8+ years of experience in commercial Software Development- 1+ years of experience working as a technical leader- Proficiency in Java or another JVM-based language.
