This includes tactical project management, oversight and delivery, helping ensure projects are completed on-time, on-budget, and at a high caliber. The Practice Manager is the primary point of escalation for client issues during a project. This role actively contributes to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives. Works closely with customers, consultants and project analysts. The Practice Manager is also closely involved in helping mentor, develop and evaluate consultants
Job description
- Delivery of engagements that encompass multiple disciplines, such as application and offensive security.
- Lead a geographically diverse team of consultants responsible for executing web and mobile application security testing, code reviews and offensive security related functions.
- Partner with teams across the organization to help deliver on engagements where multiple specialties are required (e.g., Application security, Offensive Security, Vulnerability remediation, Incident response, etc.)
- Lead Consultant team to success through strong mentorship & guidance
- Maintain clear visibility of consultants’ workloads and utilization to support optimal resource allocation
- Contribute and drive thought leadership within area of expertise
- Drive to successful scoping and delivery of complex custom Services offerings
- Identify gaps in current delivery models and support leadership in resourcing, training, recruiting, and hiring to meet the needs of the business
- Ensure consultants are receiving necessary training, skills development, and growth opportunities for continued career enhancement
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or higher degree or its equivalent in certifications or work experience - with a preference in STEM, Computer Science, Cyber Security, etc.
- Practical experience in an application security role with manual testing
- Previous job experience in an information security consulting services role
- Understanding of software security architecture and design
- Ability to work with diverse and dynamic teams
- Experience driving/overseeing projects of varying scope and size; complex initiatives from framing the problem, conducting research / analysis to building the business and operational plans through to driving execution to success is required
- Strong leadership and communication skills – written and verbal -- to work with clients at various levels, well-versed with business and technical discussions
- Integrated thinker with ability to apply intuition, experience, and judgement to the available data.
