We’re one team doing the right thing for our customers, communities, and each other. Position Overview: We are expanding our team of motivated engineers with a proven track record of delivering a best-in-class DBaSS platform – ObjectRocket. You will have the opportunity to work with a strong team of engineers working on large-scale distributed enterprise systems. You will design, implement, and support complex architectural design of hardware, software, and networking systems. Work Location:  Work may be performed remotely from anywhere within the 48 continuous United States. Key Duties and Responsibilities:·        Implement and support the ObjectRocket platform on cloud and on-prem data centers·        Manage CI/CD platform, work with other engineers in deploying and maintaining automation framework, create and review operational runbooks·        Set up critical infrastructure, develop tools and framework to automate operational tasks, deployment of machines, services/apps·        Manage scalability, capacity planning, redundancy, and resiliency·        Maintain service availability and performance SLAs based on business and product requirements·        Contribute to documentation related to design, deployment, validation and operations·        Design proactive service monitoring, alerting and trend analysis of underlying infrastructure, and support the operations team in implementation·        Initiate and lead automation to streamline system updates and upgrades  Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:    ·       Demonstrated Linux/Systems experience in hybrid (cloud, on-prem) environment. ·       Experience with Ansible, Salt or similar configuration management tool to manage infrastructure as code. ·       Experience working with cloud environments, primarily AWS. ·       Experience using Infrastructure-As-Code to build large scale environments. ·       Understanding of software development methodologies and practices, including agile development, continuous integration and continuous delivery. ·       Experience in monitoring technologies like Sensu, Nagios, Icinga, Grafana, Prometheus.·       Understanding Kubernetes, container lifecycle and troubleshooting. Preferred KSA’s:·       Hands-on knowledge of high-availability approaches such as load balancing, failover, clustering and disaster recovery. ·       Container management/orchestration experience. ·       Experience using LXD system containers  Experience/Education:·       8+ Years of software engineering experience on mission-critical, enterprise level systems. ·       8+ Years of Linux systems experience, ideally Ubuntu, SUSE and CentOS·       Experience managing large scale complex applications. ·       8+ Years professional experience using Python language to automate infrastructure workflow.·       Bachelor’s degree is required. At the manager’s discretion, additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement at a rate of 3 years’ experience for 1 year of higher education.Pay/Benefits: The following information is required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act and applies only to individuals working in the state of Colorado. The anticipated starting pay range of Colorado applicants for this role is $114,000 - $150,000  Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
