KPMG people focus every day on fuelling New Zealand’s prosperity. We believe the work we do with businesses; the public sector and our communities can make a real difference to the health, wealth and well-being of New Zealanders.  Join a team that advises clients on a range of Conduct issues from product lifecycle management, to complaints management right through to remediation. You don’t need to be an expert in all of these but you might have had experience in a variety of front line to second-line roles.

The opportunity:

    • In addition to bringing your own experience and insight, you will have the opportunity to broaden your expertise and profile by working with a wide set of clients across the financial sector, banking and insurance.
    • You will be involved with the design of conduct and compliance frameworks, managing remediation activities and responding to requirements of key regulatory bodies.

Day to day you will:

    • Lead project delivery and engagement teams, advising clients on the impact of evolving regulation on their business models, clients, propositions, and markets and supporting them on their journey through that change.
    • Provide best practice approaches to risk and compliance management and mitigation, understanding of principles-based conduct or customer-centric regulation.
    • Oversee Risk and compliance systems and controls, reporting management information, risk management frameworks, policies and procedures throughout the product lifecycle.

What you will bring to the team:

    • Knowledge of at least one core financial services industry: retail banking, insurance, financial advice/wealth.
    • Previous experience in an area that supports Conduct, which could span from customer-facing to product teams, governance, regulation or dealing directly with conduct issues or responding to requirements of key regulators.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with executives and directors, build relationships and develop customer-centric strategies.
    • Ability to identify key conduct issues and translate broad principles into clear actions and outputs for a business.
    • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and seize opportunities to enhance revenue.
    • Experience leading teams and delivering end to end project management.
    • Positive and flexible attitude and an enthusiasm to embrace new challenges and growth opportunities to gain experience.
    • Flexibility to work across New Zealand (and internationally) where required.
