Atlassian's engineering team is responsible for shaping the future by helping thousands of teams around the world to get work done.During your Atlassian journey, we'll place heavy emphasis on creating growth opportunities that you'll realize as a part of your regular work. In the supportability stream, this will come through a chance to design and lead the development of solutions that help our customers monitor and ensure the stable functioning of their Data Center products. We'll rely on your expertise to solve customer problems across the broad supportability area. In the process of reaching those goals, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

In this role, you'll get the chance to:

    • Code in Java and Kotlin
    • Gain deep technical knowledge of Atlassian products and tools supporting work with Atlassian stack
    • Impact support engineers' and Atlassian admins' experience by researching solutions to their problems
    • Learn architectural standards and start using them on new projects
    • Contribute to code reviews and documentation and take on complex bug fixes
    • Write useful technical documentation

    • Min. 2 years of professional experience
    • You are not required to know a specific programming language, however fluency in one or more modern object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, Javascript, Go, Python, Scala etc. is required.
    • Passion for collaborating, solving hard problems and asking questions
    • A mindset open to work with multiple teams across departments
    • Deep architectural understanding of web applications
    • Good knowledge of back-end technologies
    • Experience with data structures, in particular, how they are implemented and how to apply them
    • Practical experience working in a product organization
