Income Tax Intern - Hybrid/San Antonio, TX

The Income Tax Intern prepares initial tax returns, maintains company tax records, prepares filings for tax refunds, and researches inquiries from government agencies regarding filings, compliance, and other claims. Researches methods and presents proposals to lessen tax liability through the use of laws and regulations. The Income Tax Intern will operate under close supervision, with careful review of completed assignments.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

• Sophomore, junior, or senior student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting. An emphasis on tax or intertest in tax is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of accounting.  
• Good time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, human relations, and organizational skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Detail Oriented

Working location/Hours

• Position is located in San Antonio in a hybrid work environment.
• Our tax team works two days in our office and three days from home.
• Expected hours are20 - 25 weekly.
