Incident management and the post incident review process form the backbone of service reliability and service improvements for our customers. We are looking for an accomplished engineer to join our Reliability Process Group.Working closely with the Incident Management automation team, you will lead the management of the Post Incident Process. You will provide incident related metrics and insights into incident data and also consult as domain specialists to our internal customers by building out and delivering our online and face to face training programs on how to manage incidents and postmortems effectively. You will become the go to person by gaining a complete understanding of our incident and post-mortem processes and seek out ways to make our post incident management process more robust, efficient and simple.

On your first day, you will have:

    • Demonstrated experience with Incident Management within a cloud environment at scale - preferably both as an Engineer and as an Incident Manager
    • Experience in root cause analysis and post-mortems
    • Experience in driving teams to own root cause resolution and corrective actions
    • Experience delivering training or education to groups
    • Experience driving large-scale process improvements across areas of an organisation
    • On-call experience

We'd be super excited if you have any of the following:

    • Experience in incident wargaming or incident simulation such as the wheel of misfortune
    • Experience preparing high-quality video training.
    • Understanding of relational database structures and SQL
    • Past experiencing in reading code or scripts (being technical always helps in incident resolution)
    • Operations background (eg at some point working in NOC, as a sysadmin etc.)
    • High-level technical understanding of networking and Linux/Unix based operating systems - docker, Kubernetes, AWS, APIs etc.
