Platform is a long-term investment and a major differentiator for Atlassian.We're hiring a Head of Program Management in our Platform organization to lead a team of passionate program managers to drive strategy to execution across complex, cross-functional R&D programs, and meaningfully contribute to the enhancement of Atlassian's program management craft. You will be a member of the platform leadership team accountable for the full realization of Atlassian's platform strategy. You will also be a member of the program management organization, reporting directly to the Head of Program Management, focused on scaling delivery.

In this role, you'll get to

• Grow a team of program managers and program management leaders and create an environment where they can do their best work
• Partner with engineering and product leaders to set platform goals and metrics and execute on the most important platform priorities
• Shine a light on platform dependencies, put systems and structures in to place to ruthlessly manage them, and define step-wise changes to reduce them in order to accelerate delivery.
• Manage the delivery portfolio of work for our main platforms, prioritizing plans, identifying risks/issues, communicating status to the business, and managing strategic resource allocation
• Influence significant changes in how we develop and collaborate, often outside of your direct remit

On the first day, we'll expect you to have

• 7+ years in program management, with a technical background in engineering
• Background in a platform development environment with complex dependencies
• A history of leading from the front as a rockstar leader organizing structure, process, and rhythm around the ever-dynamic business demands.
• Experience applying Agile methodologies and can draw upon best practices, patterns and Agile frameworks to build pathways for autonomous, empowered, and lasting teams for a Future Atlassian
• Systems Thinking and fast value-delivery mindset; ability to drive systemic and 10X impact changes to how we work.
• Highly collaborative, promoting strategic partnerships at all levels and with all crafts
• A track record of building a world-class team of highly engaged TPM's able to scale through a period of continued high-growth
