You will be part of our growing Jira Cloud Platform team, continuing our mission of making work flow, for customers at any scale. Your team owns part of the Jira Issue Experience, which are the most-viewed pages in the Jira Cloud suite of products (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Jira Work Management, and more). Your team is the driver for reliability work (framework and implementation for Issue View), SLO and supporting other programs such as ease of use and performance.You will also make sure we're solving the right problems. Working with the other teams in the Jira Issue Experience group, User Interface Platform, and Jira Product Teams (e.g. JSW), you will influence the direction of the platform, set appropriate goals, plan the steps to get there, resolve impediments, and deliver value to our internal and external customers.Along with existing teams in Sydney, you will work with our Bangalore teams to collaboratively grow the Jira Cloud Platform and Issue Experience missions.You will report to the Development Manager looking after Issue Experience teams based in Sydney.

What you'll do

    • Hire and look after the people, grow their skillset
    • Partner with leadership, stakeholders, and other Atlassian teams to form and execute on the Issue Domain strategy (platform stability, performance, ease of use)
    • Manage projects, recommend process improvements
    • Identify roadblocks and identify solutions to solve them

Your background

    • 3+ years experience with building large-scale web applications in the Cloud
    • 2+ years of experience managing a team of developers, including employee performance and growth
    • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
    • Driving technical decisions, innovation, quality, and outcomes
    • A track record of execution and risk management
    • Nice to have: Front end background, front end performance metrics and monitoring
