This position will work directly with the CHRO and Leadership Team on strategy, planning, developing and monitoring quarterly objectives. You will be deployed into high priority strategic and operational initiatives as the company continues to evolve. This role will be an asset company-wide, supporting complex projects, driving key strategic initiatives, and providing ad hoc expertise and support as needed across various functions. In addition, you will serve as an escalation point for operational needs, gathering feedback prior to bringing your recommendations and solutions to the CHRO.
Essential Functions
- Lead the alignment and measurement of our strategy as defined by CHRO:
- Build out HR reporting & planning capabilities and cadence to inform departmental planning, strategic decision making and demonstrate organizational impact and value delivery.
- Develop strategic planning process, providing guidance and effective direction to ensure HR functions are aligned to overall goals and vision.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CHRO, providing critical insights, analysis, and recommendations to inform key business decisions.
Lead cross-functional, high-impact projects/programs as directed by CHRO:- Work with and coordinate among affected functional executives.
- Implement, coordinate, and improve best practices across all functional areas.
- Manage and complete the successful implementation of strategic initiatives that enable corporate objectives and/or accelerate company strategy.
- Determine, track, and report metrics that measure the successful implementation of various strategic projects and initiatives.
Lead proactive identification of issues and successful execution of resolutions:- Identify and elevate those issues about which the CHRO should be aware and frame/position ideas to resolve the problem/mitigate the risk.
- Be the company representative and the voice of the CHRO with external parties to resolve these issues and mitigate risk.
- Partner with the CHRO and on pre- and post-M&A activities and/or other strategic deals involving the transition of resource to ensure the right approach is taken to deliver results and preserve the integrity of the deal.
CHRO representative:- Act as a surrogate for the CHRO in attending important meetings, calls, or events that the CHRO is not able to attend.
- Coordinate interactions amongst and support to the CHRO and executive leadership team as needed (e.g., be lead on setting agendas for offsites, coordinating board meeting preparations, etc).
- Establish HR calendar and cadence for meetings / communications related to Open Book, HR All Hands, Comp Committee, Board of Directors updates, etc.
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of business management, operations and strategic planning.
- Knowledge of the IT hosting industry, IT competitors, challenges and cycles.
- Strong strategic focus, analytical, internal control and project -management skills.
- Ability to communicate and lead in a manner that fosters greater understanding, employee engagement and commitment to results.
- Solid organization, management, administrative and human relation skills, and a style, which exhibits maturity, servant leadership, sensitivity and teamwork.
- The ability to build and lead a team that values organizational success over personal success; provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure peak performance; identify and invest in high-potentials; actively manage under performance.
Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business.
- An MBA or Master’s degree highly preferred.
- 15+ years of increasingly responsible and complex work experience in business management, operations and/or strategy required.
- At least two years of prior supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- A professional background including experience planning and managing strategic and operational projects is also desired.
$143,700 - $245,520 a yearFor applicants working in California, Colorado, Washington or New York City, we are excited to share the base salary ranges for this position exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonus. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. • The anticipated starting pay range of California, Washington state and New York City applicants for this role is $167,400-$245,520• The anticipated starting pay range of Colorado applicants for this role is $143,700-$210,760• These ranges for candidates may be modified in the future.• Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time.
