Design Technologist

We're looking for a Design Technologist to support us in our mission to build world-class experiences. This is a unique opportunity to develop our prototyping capability within Design through your design and coding skills. You will help shape the future of the tools and methods we use. We're looking for a design technologist who is curious and adaptable in how they build prototypes. Success at the end of the day is that you helped clarify and translate design intent, by making it possible to get hands-on with a design before building it in engineering.

What you'll do:

• You'll report to a Design Manager based in Australia
• You'll partner with other designers to accelerate work by creating functional prototypes for use in all phases of design - including concept development, user testing, production and delivery
• You'll partner with design and engineering peers to improve existing prototypes and builds
• You'll partner with research peers to make sure prototypes are suitable for user testing
• You'll help educate other designers on best practices for prototyping
• You'll help us mature our prototyping tool-chain in general

Your background:

• Experience with design and coding responsibilities
• Background in modern software development, either as a developer or design technologist
• Experience with range of design prototyping tools (Figma, Framer, Origami etc)
• Familiarity with front-end development environments – such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React
• Understanding of web best practices (inc Designing/coding for Accessibility)
• Portfolio of work that displays both design and technology experience
