Job Brief

Prime Trust is seeking a Crypto Security Engineer who has crypto experience and is passionate about securing innovative products that scale. This position will interact with stakeholders across Engineering, QA, IT, Operations, and Product Management. The Security Engineer is responsible for defining and managing projects to enhance Prime Trust’s security posture. This individual will work closely with infrastructure and system operations teams to help keep our infrastructure secure. The role will work to enhance our security initiatives and will have responsibility for escalated incidents and overseeing configuration changes and enhancements.

The ideal candidate will be a builder who will need to dive deep into a large number of unknowns, using their security expertise to identify opportunities, architect, build, and implement solutions to build more secure infrastructure, systems, and services.

This position will partner with Product and Engineering to build the team's roadmap, taking disparate requests from customers, gathering data, and prioritizing security work that will positively impact Prime Trust’s customers. Customer obsession, strong ownership, and an ability to deal with ambiguity are critical for this role.

Principal Responsibilities

• Knowledge of, and experience with, cryptocurrencies and/or blockchain technology
• Actively follow crypto markets with a passion in this space
• Experience interacting with financial technology, such as exchanges or trading platforms
• Hands on experience with AWS and other public cloud providers
• Work cross-functionally to assess risk and help deliver countermeasures that protect customers and company data
• Hands on experience with DevOps/automation tools and technologies
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced startup environment and adjust to changing priorities
• Employ cybersecurity processes, methods, techniques and tools and assure their consistent application
• Implement appropriate assessment and authorization activities, as required by customers
• Designing, implementing and integrating disparate Security solutions into a centralized Security Analytics platform
• Designing and implement public cloud Security architectures in AWS, Azure, and Google
• Providing technical mentorship to your Prime Trust teammates

Experience and Skills

• Minimum 10 years of IT experience designing and implementing cutting-edge cybersecurity capabilities at enterprise scale
• Expert knowledge of implementing cryptography, blockchain, privacy and security components
• Strong knowledge of C/C++, Java, Node.JS Embedded, Python, Golang and other programming techniques.
• Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience in Large Scale Platform development is a strong plus
• Good communication skills required
• Demonstrated understanding of security best practices
• Deep understanding of zero-knowledge proofs concepts
• Experience with complex image processing algorithms

Education - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, Information Systems or equivalent work experience

Working Conditions - This job is available for either remote or in office work. Culture is energetic, interactive, and growth oriented, far more of a fin tech environment than a traditional financial institution
