We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Corporate Accounting team based in Burlington, MA. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is an integral member of the team supporting the accounts receivable cycle, including cash applications and collections. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work closely with order processing, corporate accounting, and external customers to ensure customer payments are posted timely and accurately and to support reconciliations, compliance, and the monthly close process.We are looking for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast paced, high volume, work environment. The ideal person will have the ability to work in a team environment but also possess a strong independent work ethic and will also have exceptional resource management and prioritization skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Process and reconcile customer payments received in various bank accounts and currencies
• Deposit customer checks
• Post daily payments, including ACH, wire transfers, checks, PayPal, and credit card deposits to customer accounts
• Apply cash receipts by matching remittance statements to appropriate invoices on customer accounts
• Reconcile customer accounts to resolve payment issues and other discrepancies
• Perform collection activities for specific accounts
• Record intercompany journal entries
• Reconcile accounts receivable and cash transactions to the general ledger
• Distribute daily bank statements
• Assist with new vendor forms
• Other duties as requested or assigned

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• Prior experience in accounts receivable and cash applications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Ability to multitask and manage time to meet weekly and monthly deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Degree in finance or accounting preferred but not required
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
