About the Role

  • The role reports to Lee Sult (Chief Incident Response Officer, CIRO)
  • Salary: USD$150K to $180K annum 
  • Role is based in Singapore
  • The  role  will  principally  involve  building,  developing  and  overseeing  the  Cybersecurity  Incident  Response capability in Singapore. The ideal candidate is independent, collaborative, and solution orient. They will work as a partner with our Chief Incident Response Officer for developing and managing our DFIR team. To be successful, the VP of Digital Forensics and Incident Response should be  equipped with both expert level experience in DFIR matters and excellent leadership and strategic planning capabilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead up DFIR team and partner with Chief Incident Response Officer to identify the best practices for the team.
  • Take up the accountabilities for resources allocation plans such as utilisation and revenue optimisation.
  • Build up our brand and reputation by working closely with the Marketing and Sales team.
  • Optimising our service delivery to ensure clients’ expectations are developed and met.
  • Nurture clients’ relationship by maintaining regular contacts with clients and coordinates and reports on project progress and accomplishments.
  • Mentor clients on the production of strategic, operational, and tactical cyber threats.
  • Prepares and delivers briefings, assessments, lessons learned, metrics analysis, after action reports, and other program documentation, both verbally and in writing, to the client’s executives, security team, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensures continuity of program activities and deliverables to support large projects and/or multiple simultaneous smaller projects.
  • Serves as an expert resource for other team members to draw upon for cyber threat management advice, as needed. 
  • Assist clients in preparing contingency plans and checklists designed to expedite diagnosis and effective response to cybersecurity incidents and compromises.
  • Possesses the ability to work with little direct oversight.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience leading complex cybersecurity programs and initiatives.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cyber threat management, cyber risk management, and/or cyber security consulting.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a team leader, experienced in resources allocation, utilisation optimisation and team development skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to convey results clearly in formal technical reports and deliver briefing.
  • Strong organisational & analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and/or management capability.
  • Ability to successfully interface with C-suite level clients (internal and external).

Benefits

  • Role is based in Singapore. Blackpanda has a Work From Anywhere policy whereby the incumbent will be able perform their role outside their country of employment (Singapore) for up to 30 days in a calendar year, subject to alignment with business and operational requirements, and being available for a minimum 6 hours between 9am and 6pm SGT to sync with the tribe.
  • 40 days paid leave (including public holidays) that can be taken at any time at your discretion, subject to alignment with business and operational requirements. 
  • Work-life balance -no scheduled internal meetings on Fridays, unless absolutely necessary.
  • You will enjoy up to USD$5,000 learning and development allowance each calendar year.
