Job Title: Supervisor – Revenue Accounting About the role: Oversee the shared services accounting organization for Revenue and related areas to ensure we get it right first time. To take the lead in preparing assigning financial statements and run the audit process. The role is process orientated and focuses not only on establishing and improving existing processes but providing a fanatical customer experience to both internal and external customers.Shift Timings: 1300 -2200 India Time to support international business partners.Key Accountabilities: Ensure a seamless transition of workload from regional teams to India for agreed processes.Perform posting and recording of necessary journals at month end and assisting local and global managers to achieve SLA’s assigned.Gradually, manage, coach and develop a team of Rackers. This will include regular one-to-ones and performance reviews as applicable.Co-ordinate workload between team members and ensure right-first-time mentality.Proactively identify improvements to current processes and implement these in line with SOX and GAAP requirementsDevelop reporting and KPI metrics / dashboards to present progress to senior leadershipBuild strong relationships with business partners both in India and in regional offices. Facilitate knowledge sharing and global best practiceAssist with preparing and end to end audit cycle of statutory accounts as delegated Assist with the monthly variance analysis of entities assigned for UK/US stakeholders Act as the first point of contact for internal and external audit teams for respective areas Knowledge:Proactive individual with proven commercial experience in managing a multi-currency processes, accruals, deferrals, prepayments and/or expense related function. Experience of managing process and workload transitions to India from regional officesAn expert in O2C process, good understanding of various workstreams and dependencies in the processAble to lead or play a significant role in complex accounting discussions & analysis on revenue recognitionDefine problem statements in various accounting areas and ensure issues are resolved from start to finish with US & other international counterpartsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft office product suite.Intermediate knowledge in resolving account issues by using various methods of research including account reconciliations and custom invoicing.Ability to perform analytically with a high degree of accuracyPrevious Oracle experience is desirable but not essentialResponsible for adhering to company security policies and procedure as directed.SKILLS:6+ years of post-qualified experience in accounting for Revenue and related areas. Minimum 3+ years team leadership experience.Strong working knowledge of revenue recognition in US GAAP under ASC 606.Strong people manager skillsStrong customer (mostly internal) service skills including timely communication.Strong conflict resolution skills, including issue resolution via escalations.Ability:Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.Ability demonstrated in prior experience of working with UK/US business partners in the previous rolesAbility to multitask and prioritize accordingly in a fast-paced environment to achieve tight deadlinesAbility to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions according to department policies and procedures.Directly collaborates with various areas of the business to ensure accurate communication of status delivered including but not limited to Enterprise Business Unit (verbal, written, presentation).About Rackspace TechnologyWe are the multicloud solutions experts.
