Senior Communications Manager, APAC

We’re looking for an experienced Sr. Manager of Corporate Communications to manage our APAC activities. Reporting into the Director of Corporate Communications, the role would help us to scale the business and increase an awareness of media as a security vendor in APAC. This is a multi-disciplined role that would encompass public relations, support our social media and analyst relations activity in APAC. And also, this role sometimes works with other Corporate Communications’ team such as Foundation, Event and Sports Marketing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Regional PR: Generate regular quality coverage, maintain & develop media relations in Asia-Pacific (APAC). Priority geos: Singapore, India, ANZ, Korea, Indonesia, and GCR). Manage the work of local PR agencies (India, Korea, GCR).
• Associations, communities, conferences: Drive & support projects with local industry, cybersecurity & MSP communities or associations. Regular joint PR, events, recognition. Nominate speakers for top industry & cybersecurity events in the region.
• Regional marketing activities: Support campaigns & events driving lead generation across the region.
• HR brand promo: Maintain regular activities with top universities, student associations. Regular joint events, initiatives. Priority geo: Singapore.
• Support Acronis special projects in APAC: Sports, Cyber Foundation, and SIT.
• Internal events & communication: Manage internal communication & events that fall under the scope of local PR team.
• Run the “24/7 media center”: Fast expert comments from security team & leadership team – covering global security incidents & trending tech topics.
• Reporting: timely weekly, monthly & quarterly report submission'
• Social Media local management

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• Good understanding of cyber security
• 8+ years’ experience in a communications role, with an agency or B to B tech brand including at least 4 years managing activity in Japan
• Security PR experience is a plus
• Strong background in media relationships including press release writing, project management, coordination of media activities
• Capable of building good working relationships across all teams/departments of the company
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
• Experience managing a PR agency relationship
• Experience managing social media
• Experience working in a global company
• Self-motivated
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English (reading, writhing, speaking)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Media relations/database - preferred
