Senior Architect, Jira Service Management

Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.We're looking for a Senior Architect to join our IT Solutions organisation, within the Australian Pacific timezone. You'll be part of a growing team, crafting our next-generation products and delivering value to our customers through creative improvements to our flagship Jira Service Management product. Looking to the future, there are exciting opportunities for Jira Service Management to offer customers a scalable approach that bridges the gap between DevOps and ITSM, an area that traditional IT vendors have yet to deliver on. You'll play a force-multiplier role, steering the engineering strategy, laying sound development principles, and driving scalable, fit-for-purpose architecture. You will also work closely with Product Management, Design, and Engineering Leadership to help inform product and platform strategy, and will report directly to the Head of Engineering.

On your first day, we'll expect you to:

• Work closely with product and engineering management to define the technical strategy and roadmap for the Jira Service Management platform.
• Partner with technical teams across Atlassian, solving architectural challenges for company-wide initiatives, often spanning across several projects.
• Provide the product management teams with valuable insights into developer experience and contribute towards feature brainstorming.
• Keep on top of industry trends to better inform our approach and ensure our JSM platform continues to delight developers.
• Support and influence principal engineers and architects with technical mentorship and growth.
• Encourage teams to drive innovation, unlock chances to create impactful technology for our JSM developers and customers
