Job Title: Accountant L2 – India (Revenue Accountant)JOB FAMILY:  Accounting         JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for an individual to assist in the management and technical accounting review of revenue related items in addition to assistance with our monthly and quarterly GL activities. As a member of our team, you will learn the ins and outs of Rackspace including our product offerings and our customer contracts. You will work cross-functionally with teams throughout the business including sales, finance, and product. This role has a significant impact on our accounting organization and visibility among CFO leadership. You will enjoy combining your technical accounting expertise and GL accounting process knowledge to help Rackspace address new and exciting challenges. This role will be part of the Revenue Accounting team based in India. Shift Timings : 1300 -2200 India Time to support international business partnersJOB REQUIREMENTS:Key Accountabilities·        Perform complex accounting analysis and general ledger activities. Validating data and responding to queries (internal and external, e.g., audit requests).·        Analyze and research revenue accounting matters including new product launches and unique customer arrangements.·        Assist with ad hoc projects and questions. ·        Enhance existing processes by identifying efficiencies or proposing new ways to do things.  ·        Prepare journal entries, PBCs, and analytics.·        Provide support and guidance to direct team members and other parts of the business as necessary.·        An expert in O2C process, good understanding of various workstreams and dependencies in the process·        Able to lead or play a significant role in complex accounting discussions & analysis on revenue recognition·        Define problem statements in various accounting areas and ensure issues are resolved from start to finish with US & other international counterparts·        Lead projects to drive improvements/efficiencies of current processes·        Prepare monthly reconciliation of accounting GLs·        Provide support to the Accounting Manager and business as the need arises  Skills·        Minimum Experience Required: 3-5 Years·        Qualified accountant·        Excellent hands-on knowledge of M/Q/Y end management accounting with specific focus on revenue account·        Strong working knowledge of revenue recognition in US GAAP under ASC 606.·        Self-starter, motivated to provide the highest possible level of responsiveness and performance as part of a team·        Experience researching complex accounting issues.·        Excellent time and self-management skills, the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.·        Preference for working in a fast paced and challenging environment. ·        Knowledge of and basic ability to read and write SQL a bonus.·        Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.·        Understanding of Oracle e-Business Suite and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) software a plus.·        Minimum Experience Required: 3-5 Years·        Creative and collaborative team playerAbout Rackspace TechnologyWe are the multicloud solutions experts.
