Job summaryAmazon External Threat Intelligence plays a key role in the interpretation, transformation, and dissemination of intelligence crucial to the protection of Amazon customers and partners from fraudulent actors. External Threat Intelligence provides Amazon teams with information about targeting and threat landscape, and use information derived from all intelligence disciplines to determine changes in actor activity, capabilities, intent, and resources. Come, join us!As a L4 Program Manager I in the Ajax Threat Intelligence team, you will be responsible for creating and managing roadmaps for the intelligence findings shared with stakeholders and partner teams. You will be working closely with the risk analyst team, program management team and stakeholders, making appropriate tradeoffs to optimize business outcomes and Customer experience, and clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional teams. You will interact with a broad cross section of the Amazon organization as you clarify ambiguous issues and negotiate effective solutions between development and business teams. You will anticipate bottlenecks and escalate issues when required in order to ensure on-time delivery.In this role, the Program Manager collaborates with internal teams to understand the risks and vulnerabilities impacting Amazon and its customers, share the findings with the stakeholders and track the mitigation in a timely manner. You will also own components of strategic initiatives and collaborate with Sr. Program Managers to execute programs to drive long term detection and mitigation of risk. You will be responsible for meticulous documentation, communicating project updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on regular cadence and contribute narrative inputs to MBR and leadership reviews.Key job responsibilities• Collaborate with internal teams to dive deep and assess risk, identify root cause and create plans to engage Amazon stakeholders to mitigate and close vulnerabilities.• Own regular program reviews with stakeholders to review ongoing performance against key milestones and program goals• Define appropriate milestones and mechanism to measure the progress for the program and share structured recurring updates to the leadership• Monitor and respond to stakeholder feedback, escalate and drive clarity on program objectives

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in program or project management
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or a related field of study.• Demonstrated record of partnering with and influencing cross-functional teams. Experience working with engineering teams to define, scope and prioritize program requirements.• Strong bias for action and be able to work iteratively.• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Experience using data to illustrate business conclusions• Desire to work in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous entrepreneurial culture• Ability to motivate and focus people resources where there is no direct reporting relationship

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of large-scale Product/Program/Project management experience in leading multi-organizational initiatives, and driving team accountability to achieve impactful goals• Proven analytical aptitude, including the ability to mine and analyze large, complex data sets• Six sigma black belt level capabilities in deconstructing processes and metrics, to identify areas of opportunity and lead the development and implementation of new processes• MBA or Master’s degree in related field• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
