This Program Manager role is a unique opportunity to work with a fast moving team that is growing quickly. You’ll be the lead program manager on this product, giving you the opportunity to have broad impact across product, engineering, and go to market. Alongside colleagues in the JPD team, you will develop and apply practices, plays, and agile frameworks to ensure successful program delivery. You will:

    • Apply good program management discipline to programs across the team, focusing on building plans, stakeholder engagement, communication and reporting, dependency management, and risk & issue.
    • Work with delivery teams to help ensure they are planning, setting the right goals, and executing on those goals effectively with good tracking and reporting methods.
    • For new programs, bring together the program contributors and drivers to scope and kick-off a program of work.
    • Lead quarterly planning and resourcing for the JPD team. Work with team to understand resourcing needs, why the resource is needed, impact it will have to the business and priority of needs.
    • Facilitate discussions between product and engineering disciplines to drive prioritisation and trade-offs.
    • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
    • Identify areas where programs or processes are needed across the team, and work with the wider Program Management team to implement solutions for these programs.

    • You are able to effectively and collaboratively identify and synchronize project interdependencies across multiple teams, navigate risks, and can creatively think on your feet to adapt to change along the way.
    • You have the ability to balance priorities among the long-term vision and short-term execution strategy.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills adjusted for different audiences.
    • You know when to run with something on your own and when to ask for help.

On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:

    • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating success as a Project / Program Manager in a dynamic environment.
    • Familiarity with the Atlassian product portfolio.
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Have experience in diagnosing pain points for teams, moving them to 'good', and committing to ensuring they get to 'great'.
