You'll help set the product direction, own a large part of the product's roadmap, and lead work both on a strategic and tactical level: from early research to shipping software and iterating with customers. This is a hands-on position, we are looking for someone who is autonomous, strong at execution, can break down a grand vision into meaningful first steps, and lead a team to get it over the line. You'll frequently need to take Atlassian's senior leadership team with you on the journey, explain and defend the team's priorities.Atlassian is a product-led company where product managers set strategy and lead teams towards inspiring goals. You'll join a small, creative team that is agile, works quickly, and focuses on impact. You will report to Jira Product Discovery's founder and head of product, and collaborate with product, engineering, design and marketing. More about you- You have 10 years of experience in product management- You have both a strategic vision and crafty execution-style. You can identify big opportunities and get into the weeds to ship quickly.- You spend a lot of time talking with customers- You love designing and building product value, you have lots of creativity and curiosity- You use qualitative and quantitive data to inform decisions and measure success- Your technical background makes you comfortable discussing technical approaches with experienced engineers- You enjoy being challenged to think about a problem from a different angle, "disagree and commit" is your mottoPeople love reading what you write- You have 2+ years experience working with a fully remote team
What you will do- Collaborate with the head of product on the product vision- Assess build versus buy versus partner strategies- Talk a lot with customers, support and sales teams. Obsess over customer feedback to inform product decisions- Create compelling roadmaps focusing on the "why", change them based on insights- Lead multiple squads composed of engineers and designers- Collaborate with other teams at Atlassian, negotiate and track commitments- Work with the product marketing team to ensure product value is clear to customers- Represent your teams' work with Atlassian leadership teams- Double down on the winning bets and stop the losing ones#LI-SC2
